What are you wearing…?

Jeans in Church

This is just a “poll” of sorts to get some perspective on your views. It’s for something I’m working on, which I hope to let you all see/read soon.

  • What do you wear to church? Do you get all dressed up or do you go casual or something in between?
  • If the majority of your church dresses up, and you came in one Sunday wearing jeans, would that be a problem?
  • What are your thoughts on wearing jeans in church?
  • What is the appropriate dress attire for church?

bad day for rear-wheel drive

Driving to work in the snowIt’s supposed to snow about 10 inches in some areas today. I still had to go to work even thought there are no classes since it’s Spring Break. Half of our department’s out and it’s pretty quiet.

I got to work a little late, even with the two-hour delay. I thought the delay was so that facilities could clear the snow, but they were barely through when I got to campus.

On the way to work I saw a few accidents. The first was a car turned completely the wrong way just at the start of Route 309. Another involved a few trucks pulled over. And immediately after that was a Tractor trailer that went over the side of I-276. I had my camera so i took pictures for you to see below.

SVB covers “This is Life”

Back in November Fusion took it’s monthly meeting up to Long Island, NY. Siby Varghese Band led worship and the Fusion Drama team did a small skit. It was a great time of worship and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in LI. This is one of the songs from that night. “This is Life” is a song I first heard about 5 or 6 years ago and it has never failed to speak to my heart. Below are the lyrics and SVB’s cover of this wonderful song.

Eyes can’t see the way you hold me
Or how I’m hidden in Your heart
Minds don’t know all You’ve told me
Or how I ache for where You are

It’s invisible to the world
Incredible to the angels
Not since Eden have they seen this sight
Everlasting life

You are all over,
You are around,
You are inside
This is life, this is life

I come in empty, I leave filled
Bring my sickness, I leave healed
Broken-hearted, You mend every piece
I come in captive, I leave free

This is Life

Those were the days

I was looking through some old pictures and I realized how good my college days were. I made my own schedule. I had plenty of free time. So many spontaneous random trips to Chicken N Rice, Mad Mex, Naked Chocolate, and more. Now I can’t do that so much since I work a 9-5. Those were some great times and I’m thankful for those memories.

There was one particular day, last year, that was exceptionally fun. It was in the morning and Dany and Siby were picking me up from the airport. We decided we didn’t want to waste such a great day, so we called everyone we could think of for a trip to Mad Mex for some great wings. We got Liffy, Sarah and Vickie to join and we were on our way! We took a bunch of pictures, and even has some “spontaneous photoshoots”. I put it the pictures together into a short video and added some music.

Good times.

Facebook lag sucks

It’s been going on for more than a week already. Probably a bad server config or something. either the bots at Facebook have no clue what to do, or they don’t care soon we’ll all find something else to take up our time other than Facebook.

And I’m not alone.

Seven Deadly Sins and Finding God

We had our church anniversary last weekend and the high school students put together a mini-movie instead of a live play. They wrote and acted in it and I helped film and edit it. It came out much better than expected, especially with the last minute changes and everything.

The college kids did a video as well instead of a play. Keith put a lot of effort into this as far as writing, acting and directing and he’s put it up on Google Video. It’s called Finding God.
